Let's be honest, there is no shortage of pickup trucks on the market. The problem is, not all pickups are created equal.

If you need a truck to help you get a little yard work done, there are plenty of overpriced options. However, if you're looking for a quality truck that is ready for work on the farm, on the job site, or at home, there is a short list of trucks built for life in Saskatchewan. At the top of that list: the 2017 Ford F-150 and the 2017 Ram 1500.

Frame, Body, Safety

When Ford first announced they would be using military-grade aluminum alloy for their truck bodies a few years ago, people were skeptical. The first trucks with aluminum alloy bodies came out in 2015 and ever since Canadian drivers have been completely won over. Reducing the F-150's weight up to 700 lbs (depending on the trim), the aluminum bodied F-150 has been proven to be a light, agile, and rugged full-size pickup.

For 2017, the F-150 still has its signature aluminum alloy body and an incredibly strong steel frame that helps blend the best of both worlds: a durable truck with impressive fuel efficiency. It also helps make the F-150 incredibly safe, which the Ram 1500 can't claim.

“The new body structure has one clear benefit over the Ram: the F-150 has scored top safety ratings, while the Ram's numbers are downright disappointing in some tests.” - The Car Connection

Sync 3 Infotainment system

Infotainment

An infotainment system is important feature of any vehicle. More than just a touch screen that lets you change the radio station, a quality infotainment system can make a good vehicle great.

Ford’s Sync 3 Infotainment system has received rave reviews for being easy to use and feature packed. With Sync 3 you can connect to your Apple or Android device with ease, and it will keep you updated on your truck’s performance so you have important information about your Ford at your fingertips. And that’s just scratching the surface of Sync 3’s abilities. The Ram’s Uconnect system is a decent infotainment system, but Sync 3 is truly in a category of its own. For a full tour of what Syn3 is capable of, contact our sales team for a full demo.
